Laidback Day Dreamin'

I have been spending the last few days (or weeks) thinking what to blog about next.
Should I be writing about the adventures that I’ve had earlier this year (which I will, eventually),
or should I share some thoughts first?

Well, I wanted for this blog to be unlike any other and I will be showcasing the three cardinal rules I consider in life: APPRECIATE + DREAM + WANDER. My first blog is about appreciation, so let’s move forward to “DREAM” and let’s talk about what everybody loves later on, WANDERLUST! :)

We can say that a dream is something that we would very much like to happen or have. Or a goal per se. When I was a kid, my parents thought that someday I will be a lawyer (because I say a lot of things and I appear to be brainy). I thought so too. Growing up though, my interests changed, including my likes and dislikes. Growing up, I realized I’m into arts. My love for music started when I was in Grade School, I learned how to play lyre and was a part of the school marching band. High School, I developed a passion for dancing. Mind you, I was very shy. I tried to audition for the marching band once more. This time, I was a majorette. Years passed and I continued to college. I pursued Bachelor in Mass Communication and also took part in productions as a performer.

I’ve always knew that I am into entertainment. I am into television shows, music, films, celebrities, and I’ve had collected A LOT of magazines too! I dreamt of being on those pages since I was young. Either being the model, the photographer, or the person behind the articles. Now, that I’ve already graduated, it’s always a thought to find a job where I can exercise and hone my “writing skills” since I dream to be a columnist or a magazine editor one day (whew, hopefully!) aside from being the “bit player” now on TV Productions. So I figured, blogging is one perfect domain to share these.

I was hesitant at first, and my shyness sort of comes in again. But then I got inspired the moment I followed some Pinay bloggers online, from Zarrah Jane Gil, to my cousin’s former classmate Jennica Sanchez, to Camille Co, Laureen Uy, KimJones, and the newest blogger of the moment, Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo. And so I thought, why not?

Trying something new to you leads to learning.

One thing I realized, since I am only in my early twenties, I still could be finding my niche. Which could be good. Or probably not. But either way, I know it will lead me to where I am supposed to be and that has always been my prayer.
Our dreams may vary, and it could change through time, but one thing is for sure, it helps us define who we are. Cheers to the weekend!
